Haason Reddick Traded Back To Philadelphia Eagles After Just Three Months With The New York Jets

Haason Reddick traded back to Philadelphia Eagles after just three months with the New York Jets

Reddick reportedly requested a trade from the Jets just four months after being traded to the team by the Eagles

The Eagles traded a 2026 third-round pick to the Jets in exchange for Reddick, who turns 30 in September and was set to make $14.25 million in base salary this season

The Philadelphia Eagles have agreed to terms with the New York Jets on a trade to acquire All-Pro linebacker Haason Reddick, according to CBS Sports. The trade comes just four months after Reddick was traded by the Eagles to the Jets in exchange for a 2026 third-round pick.

Reddick's holdout from the Jets has gotten ugly as it enters its third week. Shortly after a person familiar with the situation told The Associated Press that Reddick was seeking a new contract, the Jets announced that they had traded him to the Eagles.

It is unclear what exactly was conveyed to Reddick by the Jets that led him to request a trade, but it is clear that he is not happy with his current situation. The Eagles are hoping that Reddick can help them improve their defense, which was one of the worst in the NFL last season.
