The Washington Spirit hosted a pre-match celebration and honored members of the US Olympic Team on Disability Awareness Day

The Spirit hosted a pre-match celebration to recognize Disability Awareness Day and honor members of the US Olympic Team on Saturday, August 27th.

The event featured a variety of activities, including a meet-and-greet with the players, a performance by the DC United Drumline, and a special halftime ceremony to honor the US Olympians.

The Spirit also partnered with the DC Department of Parks and Recreation to provide free tickets to the game for people with disabilities and their families.

The event was a great success, and the Spirit are proud to have been able to recognize Disability Awareness Day and celebrate the achievements of the US Olympians.
