John Force: The Legendary Drag Racer
Early Life and Career
John Harold Force was born on May 4, 1949, in Bell Gardens, California. He began his racing career in 1970 and quickly established himself as a force to be reckoned with in the National Hot Rod Association (NHRA).
Record-Breaking Achievements
Force went on to become one of the most successful NHRA Funny Car drivers in history. He has won 16 NHRA Funny Car championships and 1 AHRA Funny Car championship. He has also won 22 time trial awards.

Force has not only been a dominant force on the racetrack but also a key figure in the growth of the sport. He has helped to make NHRA Funny Car racing one of the most popular forms of motorsports in the United States.
Retirement and Hall of Fame
In 2022, Force announced his retirement from full-time NHRA Funny Car competition. However, he continues to make occasional guest appearances. He was inducted into the Motorsports Hall of Fame of America in 2013.
Personal Life
Force is married to Laurie Force. They have three daughters: Ashley, Brittany, and Courtney. All three daughters are also NHRA drivers.
